Why NOW is the right time

Every great achievement is made up of hundreds…or thousands…or maybe hundreds of thousands, of little actions.

  • Dreaming about your goal is not going to get you any closer.
  • Really wanting to achieve your goal is not going to get you any closer.
  • Being jealous or complaining about others having achieved what you want, is not going to get you any closer.
  • Making excuses as to why you can’t achieve your goal, is not going to get you any closer.

What IS going to get you closer to reaching your goal, is YOU taking action!

Sometimes it will be easy and you’ll have a big crowd of people cheering you on…

And then other times it will be hard and you’ll feel exhausted.

But what’s worse than feeling exhausted, is feeling nothing at all because you never tried.

You waited for “The Right Time.”

Waiting is your enemy!

As Dr Seuss describes it, there’s a place called the “Waiting Place” where people are…

Waiting for a train to go

or a bus to come, or a plane to go

or the mail to come, or the rain to go

or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow

or waiting around for a Yes or No

or waiting for their hair to grow.

Everyone is just waiting.

Waiting for the fish to bite

or waiting for wind to fly a kite

or waiting around for Friday night

or waiting, perhaps, for their Uncle Jake

or a pot to boil, or a better break

or a string of pearls, or a pair of pants

or a wig with curls, or another chance.

Everyone is just waiting.

Today is your day.

Right now is the time.

Do something, no matter how small, that will move you closer toward your goal.

Time waits for no one.

So we got all the documents sent out and there was a section to complete asking about funeral arrangements and any instructions you wanted

How to break a bad habit

When trying to break a bad habit, most people focus on the behaviour itself eg. how to stop smoking, eating lollies, sleeping through the alarm… I think we should be going a step further back and looking at the cues and triggers as to WHAT ENABLES US to participate in that behaviour. If we can
